Setup Helper
Connects a MikroTik router to MikroPay without opening WinBox or typing anything into a terminal. It finds routers on your network, then configures the one you pick.

How to use it
- Connect your computer to the same WiFi as the router.
- In MikroPay, add the router and copy the setup command it shows you.
- Open the Setup Helper. It opens in your browser.
- Scan for routers, paste the command, enter the router password, click Configure.
The security warning
The Setup Helper is not code-signed, so if you download it with your browser, Windows and macOS will warn you before running it. That is expected. The warning means “we have not paid a certificate authority to vouch for this file,” not that anything is wrong with it.
The easiest fix is the paste-a-command install above. It fetches the helper outside the browser, checks the download against its published SHA-256 checksum, and starts it. No warning appears at all.
If you downloaded the file directly instead:
- Windows: click More info, then Run anyway.
- macOS: try to open the file, dismiss the warning, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. (On older macOS, right-clicking the file and choosing Open also works.)
Either way, every download is listed with its SHA-256 checksum above if you want to verify it yourself.
What it needs
- Your computer on the same WiFi network as the router.
- RouterOS 6.43 or newer.
- Either the router’s API service or SSH reachable. Both are on by default, and the helper uses whichever answers.
Setting up without it
The helper is a convenience, not a requirement. Every router setup screen in MikroPay also shows a one-line command you can paste into the router yourself using WinBox, and the full setup script if the router is not online yet.
